Rebecca Moccia The loners
The installation at Cripta747 in via Catania 15/F starts from a formal and archival work around electoral architectures. The artist has collected, catalogued and analysed booths from different nations, each identifiable in its standardised architecture. From this taxonomy, which highlights the uniform and constitutive approach of the liberal system of political representation, Moccia extrapolated various elements, which she then transposed sculpturally into space. With their silent, monolithic presence, these architectures weave a specific relationship with contemporary politics while narrating our distance from it.
